:cecropin P1 porcine
Description:
Cecropin P1 porcine is a peptide derived from the cecropin family, which are antimicrobial peptides found in various insects. This particular peptide exhibits a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity against bacteria, fungi, and some viruses, making it a subject of interest in both medical and agricultural applications. Cecropin P1 is characterized by its positive charge and amphipathic nature, which facilitate its interaction with microbial membranes, leading to disruption and cell lysis. The peptide typically consists of around 37 amino acids, featuring a helical structure that is crucial for its biological function. Its effectiveness against resistant strains of bacteria highlights its potential as a template for developing new antibiotics. Additionally, cecropin P1 porcine has been studied for its immunomodulatory properties, suggesting a role in enhancing immune responses. Overall, its unique properties make cecropin P1 a valuable candidate for further research in the fields of pharmacology and biotechnology.

Cecropin P1
CAS:Cecropin P1 (SWLSKTAKKLENSAKKRISEGIAIAIQGGPR), a homolog of insect cecropins isolated from pig intestine, was thought to be the first mammalian antimicrobial peptide. Later studies showed that the peptide is produced by the intestinal parasitic nematode Ascaris suum. The 31 amino acid peptide is highly potent against Gram-negative bacteria but has a reduced activity against Gram-positive bacteria. A disruptive effect on bacterial membranes has been proposed as mechanism of antimicrobial activity.Formula:C147H253N45O43Purity:> 98%Color and Shape:WhiteMolecular weight:3338.9Cecropin P1, porcine
CAS:Cecropin P1, porcine is an antibacterial peptide originally identified in moths (Hyalophora cecropia) and later in pig intestine.Formula:C147H253N45O43Molecular weight:3338.913Cecropin P1
CAS:
Cecropin P1 is a cecropin-like antimicrobial peptide that is found in the hemolymph of the cecropia moth. It has been shown to have antibacterial efficacy against human pathogens, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Structural analysis of cecropin P1 has shown that this peptide binds to bacterial 16S ribosomal RNA and inhibits protein synthesis, leading to cell death by inhibiting the production of proteins vital for cell division. Cecropin P1 also has high affinity for toll-like receptor 2 and may be involved in autoimmune diseases.
Formula:C147H253N45O43Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:3,338.86 g/mol
