Description:
Quinupristin-dalfopristin is a combination antibiotic used primarily to treat infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria, particularly those resistant to other antibiotics. It belongs to the streptogramin class and works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. The compound is a combination of two components: quinupristin, which is a streptogramin A, and dalfopristin, a streptogramin B.
