:2-ethyl-5-nitro-2,3-dihydro(2-1b)imidazo-oxazole
Description:
2-Ethyl-5-nitro-2,3-dihydro(2-1b)imidazo-oxazole, identified by its CAS number 127692-13-1, is a heterocyclic organic compound characterized by the presence of both imidazole and oxazole rings. This compound typically exhibits a yellow to orange color and is soluble in organic solvents, which is common for many nitrogen-containing heterocycles. The nitro group contributes to its reactivity, making it a potential candidate for various chemical reactions, including nucleophilic substitutions and reductions. The ethyl group enhances its hydrophobic character, influencing its solubility and interaction with biological systems. Additionally, the presence of the imidazo and oxazole moieties suggests potential biological activity, which may include antimicrobial or antifungal properties, although specific biological data would need to be referenced for confirmation. Overall, this compound's unique structure and functional groups make it of interest in both synthetic chemistry and pharmacological research.

2-Ethyl-6-nitro-2H,3H-imidazo[2,1-b][1,3]oxazole
CAS:2-Ethyl-6-nitro-2H,3H-imidazo[2,1-b][1,3]oxazole is a synthetic drug that has been shown to be effective against tuberculosis. It inhibits bacterial growth by binding to DNA-dependent RNA polymerase and preventing transcription and replication. 2ENI is the first new antibiotic of this class to enter clinical studies. 2ENI has been shown to have bactericidal activity in mammalian cells against various strains of tuberculosis, including multidrug resistant TB (MDRTB), and pretomanid-resistant TB (PRTB). In addition, it also inhibits the biosynthesis of rifampin and other antibiotics that are used for the treatment of tuberculosis. 2ENI has a pharmacokinetic profile similar to rifampin and other drugs in its class; however, it does not inhibit human DNA gyrase or topoisomerase IV. This may explain why 2ENI does not showFormula:C7H9N3O3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:183.16 g/molCGI-17341
