SGK1-IN-1 is a ligand that binds to the receptor, G protein-coupled receptor kinase 1 (GRK1). It is a selective inhibitor of GRK1. SGK1 is involved in the regulation of ion channels, and thus may be used as a research tool for studying ion channel function. The binding of SGK1-IN-1 to GRK1 inhibits the phosphorylation of receptors and prevents the activation of downstream signaling pathways. This inhibition could be useful as an anti-inflammatory agent or in treating cardiac arrhythmias.
