    N-[5-(tert-Butylsulfamoyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl]acetamide is a sulfonilamide that inhibits the activity of an enzyme known as dehydrogenase. N-[5-(tert-Butylsulfamoyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl]acetamide has been shown to be effective against ganglia and bladder cancer cells. It can also inhibit the activity of an enzyme called carbonic anhydrase II and may have use in the treatment of renal calculi. The drug is not active against other types of cancer cells or normal cells.
