CAS 13029-44-2
:DIENESTROL
Description:
Dienestrol, with the CAS number 13029-44-2, is a synthetic nonsteroidal estrogen that belongs to the class of compounds known as stilbene derivatives. It is characterized by its two phenolic rings connected by a double bond, which contributes to its estrogenic activity. Dienestrol is primarily used in hormone replacement therapy and has been investigated for its potential therapeutic effects in various conditions related to estrogen deficiency. The compound exhibits a high affinity for estrogen receptors, influencing gene expression and cellular processes associated with female reproductive health. It is typically administered in the form of oral tablets or topical formulations. However, due to concerns regarding its safety profile and potential side effects, including an increased risk of certain cancers, its clinical use has diminished over time. Dienestrol is also notable for its role in research related to endocrine disruptors, as it can mimic natural estrogens in the body. Proper handling and storage are essential, as with many chemical substances, to ensure safety and stability.

CAS:
E,E-Dienestrol is a synthetic estrogen that has been shown to have anticarcinogenic properties. It has been found to inhibit the production of rat liver microsomes that are involved in the development of liver cancer. E,E-Dienestrol also has antiinfectious properties and is used as an antimicrobial agent for treating infectious diseases. The mechanism of action for its antimicrobial activity is not fully understood, but it may be due to an alteration in surfactant properties and the formation of a complex with bacterial dienestrol, which is produced by bacteria. The fluorescence detector can be used to measure the amount of E,E-dienestrol in a sample by detecting its fluorescence emission at 605 nm.
Formula:C18H18O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:266.33 g/mol
