CAS 13106-76-8
:Ammonium molybdate ((NH4)2MoO4)
Description:
Ammonium molybdate, with the chemical formula (NH4)2MoO4 and CAS number 13106-76-8, is an inorganic compound that appears as a white crystalline solid. It is highly soluble in water, making it useful in various applications, particularly in analytical chemistry and as a reagent in the preparation of molybdenum-containing compounds. The compound is often employed as a source of molybdenum in fertilizers, as molybdenum is an essential micronutrient for plants. Ammonium molybdate exhibits properties typical of ammonium salts, including the ability to form complexes with other metal ions. It is also used in the determination of phosphorus and as a catalyst in certain chemical reactions. While generally considered safe, it should be handled with care, as it can be harmful if ingested or inhaled in significant quantities. Proper safety measures, including the use of personal protective equipment, are recommended when working with this compound.

CAS:
Ammonium molybdate is a form of the mineral molybdenum that is used as a nutrient in the solution for hepg2 cells. Ammonium molybdate has been shown to inhibit the growth of multi-walled carbon nanotubes, which may be due to its ability to catalyze hydrogen fluoride and zirconium oxide. It also has an inhibitory effect on serine protease (a protein found in many tissues and secretions). The chemical stability of ammonium molybdate has been studied by exposing it to hydrogen fluoride and it was found that this compound is stable at pH levels of around 7.5.
Formula:H8N2MoO4Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:White PowderMolecular weight:196.03 g/mol
