CAS 13123-35-8
:trp-leu
Description:
The chemical substance known as "trp-leu," with the CAS number 13123-35-8, is a dipeptide composed of the amino acids tryptophan (Trp) and leucine (Leu). Dipeptides are formed through peptide bonds between the carboxyl group of one amino acid and the amino group of another, resulting in a compound that retains the functional characteristics of its constituent amino acids. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid known for its role in protein synthesis and as a precursor to serotonin, while leucine is a branched-chain amino acid important for muscle protein synthesis and metabolic regulation. The properties of trp-leu include its solubility in water, which is typical for many peptides, and its potential biological activities, including antioxidant properties and involvement in various metabolic pathways. Additionally, trp-leu may exhibit unique interactions in biological systems due to the aromatic nature of tryptophan and the hydrophobic characteristics of leucine, making it of interest in fields such as biochemistry and pharmacology.

CAS:H-Trp-Leu-OH is a drug that has been shown to have high efficiency against cancer cells. It is also used as an experimental drug for the treatment of angiotensin II, which is a peptide hormone that regulates blood pressure and fluid balance in the body. H-Trp-Leu-OH has been shown to be hydrolyzed by thermolysin and efficiently catalyzed by serine proteases. This drug binds to the active site of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) in order to inhibit ACE activity. The fluorescence spectroscopic assay was used to measure the binding affinity between H-Trp-Leu-OH and angiotensin II, which was found to be linear with respect to concentration. Kinetic parameters were studied using a spectrofluorometric assay, which showed that H-Trp-Leu-OH inhibits ACE activity at concentrations of 1 uM or above.Formula:C17H23N3O3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:317.38 g/mol
