2,4-Dimethyl-5-oxazolecarboxamide
CAS:
2,4-Dimethyl-5-oxazolecarboxamide is an anti-parasitic drug that belongs to the class of fumaric acid derivatives. It has been shown to be effective against Leishmania major and Trypanosoma brucei gambiense. The 2,4-dimethyl-5-oxazolecarboxamide co-crystal has a solid form and is soluble in water. This drug binds to the active site of enzymes and inhibits their activity by forming covalent bonds with amino acid residues. It also prevents the parasite from synthesizing proteins, thereby preventing its growth and replication. 2,4-Dimethyl-5-oxazolecarboxamide has been shown to have no effect on human cells or other mammalian cells in vitro. This compound may be used as a treatment for leishmaniasis, trypanosomiasis, trichomoniasis, or amorphous pathology.
Formula:C6H8N2O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:140.14 g/molRef: 3D-HFA33439
