:Tetramethylthiuram disulfide
Description:
Tetramethylthiuram disulfide, commonly known as TMTD, is an organosulfur compound with the chemical formula C6H12N2S4. It is primarily recognized for its role as a rubber accelerator in the vulcanization process, enhancing the elasticity and durability of rubber products. TMTD appears as a white to light yellow crystalline solid and is soluble in organic solvents but has limited solubility in water. The compound is characterized by its strong odor and is known for its antioxidant properties. TMTD can also act as a fungicide and is utilized in agricultural applications. However, it is important to note that TMTD can pose health risks, including skin and respiratory irritation, and potential toxicity if ingested or inhaled. Therefore, appropriate safety measures should be taken when handling this substance. Its chemical structure features a disulfide bond, which is crucial for its reactivity and functionality in various applications, particularly in the rubber industry.

CAS:
Thiram is an organic compound that is used as a fungicide, insecticide, and miticide. It inhibits the enzyme dopamine β-hydroxylase, which is involved in the synthesis of catecholamines. Thiram has been shown to have a synergic effect with potassium dichromate in inhibiting the growth of Angelicae Dahuricae cells. The toxicity of this chemical has been studied in rats and mice, with no carcinogenic potential observed at doses up to 100 mg/kg body weight. Thiram was also found not to be genotoxic in vitro or in vivo; however, it showed some mutagenic effects in bacteria.
Formula:C6H12N2S4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:240.44 g/molTMTD (Tetramethylthiuram disulfide)
CAS:
TMTD (Tetramethylthiuram disulfide) reduces the growth performance of chickens by reducing liver index, while increasing kidney, heart and spleen index. In addition, TMTD also induces tibial chondrodysplasia (TD) by regulating the expression of VEGF, HIF-1α and WNT4. As a super accelerator in rubber processing, TMTD plays an important role in the low-temperature vulcanization process and is a key pesticide in agriculture.
Formula:C6H12N2S4Color and Shape:SolidMolecular weight:240.43
