CAS 138-86-3
:Limonene
Description:
Limonene, with the CAS number 138-86-3, is a colorless, volatile liquid classified as a cyclic monoterpene. It is primarily found in the peels of citrus fruits, such as oranges and lemons, contributing to their characteristic aroma. Limonene has a distinctive citrus scent and is known for its pleasant fragrance, making it a popular ingredient in perfumes, cleaning products, and food flavorings. Chemically, it exists in two enantiomeric forms: D-limonene, which has a sweet orange scent, and L-limonene, which has a piney aroma. Limonene is also recognized for its potential health benefits, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is soluble in organic solvents but has limited solubility in water. Additionally, limonene is used as a solvent in various industrial applications and is considered a green alternative to petroleum-based solvents. Its low toxicity and biodegradability further enhance its appeal in both consumer products and industrial processes.

CAS:
Cinene is a hydrochloric acid that is used as an industrial chemical. It has been shown to be a terpene with a ph optimum of 5.5, and an optimum concentration of 0.5%. Cinene has been clinically relevant for the treatment of fatty acid metabolic disorders such as ethyl decanoate, and wastewater treatment processes. Cinene is also used as an intermediate in the production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Cinene inhibits enzyme activities by binding to cytochrome P450 enzymes in rat liver microsomes. The main use of cinene is in the manufacture of trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), which is used in the production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and other organic compounds.
Formula:C10H16Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:136.23 g/mol
