Umibecestat is a monoclonal antibody that binds to am-6494, an absorber of serotonin. It has been shown to have therapeutic effects on hyperproliferative diseases such as cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. Umibecestat is a potent inhibitor of the serotonin reuptake transporter and exhibits anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting the production of proinflammatory cytokines.
