Copanlisib is a small molecule that targets the PI3K-Akt pathway. It has been shown to be an effective treatment for cancer cells with the PD-L1 protein. Copanlisib is a pan-PI3K inhibitor, which means it inhibits all three isoforms of the enzyme: PI3Kα, PI3Kβ, and PI3Kγ. Copanlisib has shown clinical efficacy in patients with advanced solid tumours who are resistant to other treatments. This drug has also been shown to have hepatotoxic effects in mice, although this effect was not observed in humans.
