Phosphonic acid, (2-amino-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-2-yl)-

Description:
Phosphonic acid, (2-amino-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-2-yl)-, also known by its CAS number 141120-17-4, is an organophosphorus compound characterized by the presence of a phosphonic acid functional group attached to a bicyclic indene structure. This compound typically exhibits properties associated with both phosphonic acids and amines, including potential acidity due to the phosphonic acid moiety and basicity from the amino group. It is likely to be soluble in polar solvents due to its functional groups, and may participate in various chemical reactions, such as nucleophilic substitutions or coordination with metal ions. The presence of the indene structure may impart unique reactivity and stability characteristics, making it of interest in various fields, including medicinal chemistry and materials science. Additionally, compounds of this nature can exhibit biological activity, which may be relevant for applications in pharmaceuticals or agrochemicals. However, specific reactivity and stability details would depend on the precise molecular environment and conditions under which the compound is studied.

  • Phosphonic acid, (2-amino-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-2-yl)-

    CAS:

Phosphonic acid, (2-amino-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-2-yl)- is a type of organic compound that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the growth of bacteria. The linear regression analysis showed that phosphonic acid had a greater inhibitory effect on the growth rate of chlorogenic acids than cinnamic acid derivatives. Phosphonic acid also inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to endogenous enzymes and inactivating them. It binds to methyl transferase and prevents it from transferring a methyl group onto 5′ carbon atoms in methionine, which is an essential step for protein synthesis.
