CAS:Sulfathiazole Sodium is an organosulfur compound. It also has been used as a short-acting sulfa drug.Formula:C9H9N3NaO2S2Purity:98%Color and Shape:SolidMolecular weight:278.31Sulfathiazole sodium
CAS:Sulfathiazole sodium is a sulfonamide antibiotic that has been used to treat a variety of infections caused by bacteria and protozoa. It is also used as an adjunct in the treatment of some types of pneumonia. Sulfathiazole sodium is chemically stable in aqueous solution, but the chemical stability decreases with increasing concentration of potassium ions and increasing pH. Sulfathiazole sodium may cause depression and inhibit atropine sulfate-induced pupil dilation when administered together. The drug may cause hyperactivity, but this effect is not seen in all patients. Sulfathiazole sodium has been shown to have immunostimulatory effects on h295r cells, which are cells from human renal carcinoma, through the activation of oxidative stress pathways.
