:N-Desmethyl-N-benzyl Sildenafil
Description:
N-Desmethyl-N-benzyl Sildenafil, identified by its CAS number 1446089-82-2, is a chemical compound related to Sildenafil, a well-known phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor used primarily for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. This compound is characterized by the absence of a methyl group on the nitrogen atom of the piperazine ring and the presence of a benzyl group, which alters its pharmacological properties compared to its parent compound. N-Desmethyl-N-benzyl Sildenafil is typically studied for its potential effects on the cardiovascular system and its role in modulating nitric oxide pathways. The compound may exhibit varying degrees of potency and selectivity towards PDE5, influencing its therapeutic applications. As with many pharmaceutical compounds, its solubility, stability, and bioavailability are critical factors that determine its efficacy and safety profile. Research into this compound may also explore its metabolic pathways and potential interactions with other medications, contributing to a better understanding of its pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics.

CAS:
The objective of the research was to identify and validate a validated analytical method for N-desmethyl-N-benzyl sildenafil (DMB) in dietary supplements. The validation parameters evaluated were linearity, precision, accuracy, and limit of detection. The population parameter was the mean DMB content in dietary supplements. The calibration curve for DMB was linear over the range of 0.2–50 μg/g with an R2=0.9994 and a limit of detection of 0.02 μg/g. Accuracy values were within ±5%. Systematic errors were determined at two levels: 10% and 5%. Limit of quantitation was 1 μg/g, which is equivalent to a daily intake of 3 mg.
Formula:C28H34N6O4SPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:550.7 g/mol
