Benzo[d]thiazole-6-sulfonic acid is a chemical compound that is used in the treatment of wastewater. It has been shown to have antioxidative properties and radical scavenging activities. The chemical stability of benzo[d]thiazole-6-sulfonic acid has been investigated using chemical assays. The reaction products have been characterized by a model system, which showed that diammonium ions are formed from benzo[d]thiazole-6-sulfonic acid and acetate extract. This study also showed that benzo[d]thiazole-6-sulfonic acid can be immobilized on a membrane system for applications in water treatment processes.
