Inosine, cyclic2',3'-(hydrogen phosphate) (8CI,9CI)

Description:
Inosine, cyclic 2',3'-(hydrogen phosphate) is a nucleotide derivative characterized by its cyclic structure, which features a phosphate group attached to the ribose sugar at the 2' and 3' positions. This compound plays a significant role in various biochemical processes, particularly in cellular signaling and metabolism. It is involved in the synthesis of nucleotides and can act as a precursor for the production of adenosine and other important biomolecules. The cyclic phosphate structure contributes to its stability and reactivity, making it a crucial intermediate in RNA metabolism. Inosine itself is a purine nucleoside composed of hypoxanthine and ribose, and its cyclic phosphate form is essential for various enzymatic reactions. The compound is also of interest in pharmacology and biochemistry due to its potential therapeutic applications, including its role in modulating immune responses and promoting tissue repair. Overall, inosine, cyclic 2',3'-(hydrogen phosphate) is a vital component in the intricate network of cellular functions.

  • Inosine 2',3'-cyclic monophosphate sodium salt

    CAS:

Inosine 2',3'-cyclic monophosphate sodium salt (ICMP) is a phosphodiesterase inhibitor that inhibits the activity of protein kinases and phosphatases. ICMP is used in biochemical studies to inhibit tryptophan metabolism and protein synthesis. It also has been shown to be useful in the study of sequences, such as those found in DNA and RNA. ICMP has been shown to increase the mRNA levels of a number of proteins at lower concentrations than other inhibitors, making it a valuable tool for studying protein synthesis. The enzyme-inhibiting properties of ICMP have been observed in calf thymus DNA and bacterial DNA gyrase, dna topoisomerase, and rna synthesis. ICMP also inhibits caenorhabditis elegans phosphatases and can be used in genetic engineering experiments involving Xenopus oocytes.
