CAS:8-Hydroxy carvedilol is an analog of the beta-blocker drug carvedilol that has been shown to have potent anticancer properties. It inhibits the activity of protein kinase C (PKC), which is involved in cell signaling pathways that regulate cell growth and survival. 8-Hydroxy carvedilol has been found to induce apoptosis in human and Chinese hamster ovary cells, as well as in tumor cells from various types of cancer. This drug also inhibits the activity of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), a neuropeptide that is involved in pain transmission and inflammation. In addition, 8-Hydroxy carvedilol has been shown to inhibit oxytocin-induced contractions in isolated rat uterus tissue. Overall, these findings suggest that 8-Hydroxy carvedilol may have potential as a novel anticancer agent with anti-inflammatory properties.Formula:C24H26N2O5Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:422.5 g/mol
