NAI 1
CAS:
Applications NAI 1 is used in the process of visualizing the physical basis for molecular behaviours inside living cells. RNAs are central to biological regulation and this molecule aids in the first global view of RNA secondary structures in living cells for all four bases.
References Spitale, R. et al.: Nature, 519, 486 (2015);

Formula:C10H8N6OColor and Shape:Light Beige SolidMolecular weight:228.210NAI 1
CAS:
NAI 1 is a peptidomimetic that has been shown to have neuroprotective effects in vitro. It also has an anti-depressant effect, and may be useful as a treatment for depression. NAI 1 is thought to work by binding to the melanocortin receptor and inhibiting the activity of tyrosine kinases, which are enzymes involved in the transmission of nerve impulses within the brain. NAI 1 has been shown to bind to aromatic hydrocarbons found in geochemical samples. These hydrocarbons are detectable at salinities up to 18%. The compound also inhibits bacterial growth, specifically by binding to the enzyme DNA gyrase, thereby preventing bacterial replication and transcription. NAI 1 binds with high affinity to a receptor found on many infectious bacteria, including Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Salmonella species. This activity is mediated through protein kinase C (PKC) activation and PKC-dependent tyrosine phosphorylation of cellular
Formula:C10H8N6OPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:228.21 g/mol
