N-tert-Butyl-3,5-dimethylbenzohydrazide is a thionyl chloride compound that is used as an insecticide. It has a high efficiency and low toxicity. N-tert-Butyl-3,5-dimethylbenzohydrazide can be used in the production of commercial bulk drugs by reacting with 3,5-dimethylbenzoic acid to form an alkaline solution. This solution can then be treated with methoxyfenozide or dicarbonate to form the desired product.
