    hVEGF-IN-1 is a recombinant human vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy. It acts by binding to VEGF receptors on the surface of cells, which triggers an intracellular signalling cascade that leads to increased blood flow and angiogenesis. hVEGF-IN-1 has also been shown to inhibit tnf-α, p-akt, and transcriptional activity in cultured human endothelial cells. This drug has been shown to have a significant inhibitory effect on inflammation by suppressing the expression of proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and TNF-α. hVEGF-IN-1 may also decrease apoptosis and cell death induced by high glucose levels.
