CAS:<p>3-Amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole is a potent inhibitor of the activity of metal carbonyls and was first synthesized by the reaction of 3-amino-5-mercaptotetrazole with sodium hydroxide. The inhibition study showed that 3 amino 5 mercapto 1,2,4 triazole has strong inhibitory effect on the catalytic activity of metal carbonyls. The nmr spectra show that this compound can form hydrogen bonding with water molecules. It is also possible for 3 amino 5 mercapto 1,2,4 triazole to form hydrogen bonding with chitosan polymer in vitro.
