MI 14

Description:
As of my last update in October 2023, "MI 14" with the CAS number 1715934-43-2 is not widely recognized in the literature or databases, which may indicate that it is a relatively new or specialized compound. Typically, chemical substances are characterized by their molecular structure, physical properties (such as melting and boiling points), solubility, reactivity, and potential applications. If MI 14 is a synthetic compound, it may have specific functional groups that dictate its chemical behavior and interactions. Additionally, safety data sheets (SDS) would provide crucial information regarding its toxicity, handling, and storage requirements. For precise characteristics, including its molecular formula, structural details, and specific applications, consulting specialized chemical databases or scientific literature would be necessary. If MI 14 is under investigation for particular uses, such as in pharmaceuticals or materials science, further details may emerge as research progresses.

    CAS:

MI 14 is a nitroheterocycle compound that has been shown to have potent anticancer activity in animal models. The EC50 for MI 14 is 10 nM, and it has a more potent antitumor effect than the chemotherapeutic drug doxorubicin (EC50 = 20 nM). MI 14 also inhibits the production of pro-atherogenic lipids by activating PPARα, which may be useful in preventing cardiovascular disease. MI 14 is an inhibitor of PCSK9 with an IC50 value of 1 μM. It inhibits PCSK9-mediated LDL receptor degradation and thereby increases LDL receptor levels. This inhibition leads to increased clearance of LDL cholesterol from the blood and reduced plasma cholesterol levels. MI 14 also interacts with other drugs in its data base, such as warfarin, to increase their toxicity.
