:N-Acetyl-D-valine
Description:
N-Acetyl-D-valine is an amino acid derivative characterized by the presence of an acetyl group attached to the nitrogen of the valine side chain. As a member of the branched-chain amino acids, it retains the fundamental structure of valine, which includes a hydrophobic side chain, contributing to its role in protein synthesis and metabolism. This compound is typically white to off-white in appearance and is soluble in polar solvents, such as water and alcohol, due to the presence of the acetyl group. N-Acetyl-D-valine is often utilized in biochemical research and pharmaceutical applications, particularly in studies related to protein structure and function. Its stereochemistry, being a D-enantiomer, influences its biological activity and interactions with enzymes and receptors. Additionally, it may exhibit specific properties such as stability under various pH conditions and potential reactivity with other chemical agents, making it a valuable compound in synthetic organic chemistry and biochemistry.

CAS:Acetyl-D-valine is an amino acid that is naturally produced by the human body. Acetyl-D-valine has been shown to inhibit bacterial enzyme activities, such as racemase and sephadex g-100. Acetyl-D-valine may be used in the treatment of bacterial infections caused by Stenotrophomonas maltophilia. It has also been shown to have a high detection sensitivity which can be used to detect other bacteria that are not sensitive to antibiotics. The linear regression analysis showed that acetyl-D-valine inhibited microbial growth in a dose dependent manner with an IC50 value of 2 mM.Formula:C7H13NO3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:159.18 g/mol
