3-Bromoimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine (BIPM) is an analog of etoposide and has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of tyrosine kinases. BIPM selectively inhibits the activity of multikinase enzymes such as c-kit, PDGFRβ, and VEGFR2. In addition, BIPM has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells by inducing apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in mcf-7 cells. This drug is not toxic to normal cells and shows a favorable safety profile when tested on animals.
