(E)-3-Chloro-2,3-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)acrylaldehyde
CAS:
The compound 3-chloro-2,3-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)acrylaldehyde (CBA) is a molecule that can induce acetylation of histones and suppressor genes. It also has an effect on the regulation of gene expression, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the activity of the protein β-catenin. CBA induces the acetylation of histones, thereby suppressing tumor growth. It also inhibits the activity of β-catenin, leading to suppression of tumor growth in vitro with HL60 cells. CBA has been shown to suppress tumor growth and induce apoptosis in vivo in a xenograft model. This compound is being studied as a potential treatment for cancer.
Formula:C17H15ClO3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:302.7 g/mol
