4-Fluorophenylsulfonyl-L-valyl-L-leucinal

Description:
4-Fluorophenylsulfonyl-L-valyl-L-leucinal is a synthetic compound characterized by its unique structure, which includes a fluorinated phenyl group and a sulfonyl moiety attached to a peptide backbone. This compound is notable for its potential applications in medicinal chemistry, particularly as a protease inhibitor or in the development of therapeutic agents targeting specific biological pathways. The presence of the fluorine atom enhances the lipophilicity and metabolic stability of the molecule, while the sulfonyl group can contribute to its reactivity and interaction with biological targets. Additionally, the L-valyl and L-leucinal components suggest that this compound may exhibit specific stereochemical properties, which can influence its biological activity and binding affinity. Overall, 4-Fluorophenylsulfonyl-L-valyl-L-leucinal represents a class of compounds that may be valuable in drug discovery and development, particularly in the context of targeting proteolytic enzymes or other relevant biological systems.

  • Calpain Inhibitor VI 4-Fluoro-benzenesulfonyl-Val-Leu-aldehyde

    CAS:

Calpain inhibitor VI is a potent inhibitor of calpains. It blocks the enzymes that induce neuronal death and cell death, which induces apoptosis. Calpain inhibitor VI has been shown to have antiviral potency, inhibitory activity against activated T cells and inhibitory activity against inflammatory diseases, autoimmune diseases and cancer in vitro. This drug also inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-12 by macrophages. Calpain inhibitor VI binds to cysteine residues on calpains with a binding constant of 1 nM. It has been shown to inhibit caspase-independent cell death induced by hydrogen peroxide in primary cells and can prevent primary cells from being dehydrated.
