:Garenoxacin
Description:
Garenoxacin is a synthetic fluoroquinolone antibiotic characterized by its broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, particularly against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It is primarily used in the treatment of respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia and bronchitis, due to its ability to inhibit bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes critical for bacterial DNA replication and transcription. Garenoxacin exhibits a favorable pharmacokinetic profile, with good oral bioavailability and tissue penetration, which enhances its therapeutic efficacy. The compound is known for its relatively low propensity to induce resistance compared to other antibiotics in its class. Additionally, Garenoxacin has been studied for its potential effectiveness against certain atypical pathogens and has shown promise in treating infections caused by resistant strains. Its safety profile includes common antibiotic-related side effects, but it is generally well-tolerated. As with all antibiotics, appropriate use is essential to minimize the risk of developing antibiotic resistance.

CAS:
Garenoxacin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that has been shown to inhibit the production of inflammatory substances. It is active against gram-positive bacteria but not against gram-negative species. Garenoxacin inhibits the growth of wild type and resistant mutants of human polymorphonuclear leukocytes and tissue infection isolates, both of which are sensitive to other NSAIDs. Clinical studies have shown that garenoxacin has antibacterial efficacy in vitro and in vivo with minimal toxicity. Drug interactions are possible, as garenoxacin inhibits cytochrome P450 enzymes and increases the blood concentration of some drugs such as warfarin, phenytoin, or carbamazepine.
Formula:C23H20F2N2O4Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:White PowderMolecular weight:426.41 g/molGarenoxacin
