CAS 19728-63-3
:Z-Thr-OH
Description:
Z-Thr-OH, also known as Z-Serine, is a derivative of the amino acid threonine, characterized by the presence of a protective Z (benzyloxycarbonyl) group on the amino group. This modification enhances its stability and solubility, making it useful in peptide synthesis and various biochemical applications. The compound features a hydroxyl (-OH) group, which contributes to its polar nature and ability to participate in hydrogen bonding, influencing its reactivity and interactions in biological systems. Z-Thr-OH is typically utilized in the synthesis of peptides, where the Z group can be removed under specific conditions to yield the free amino acid. Its CAS number, 19728-63-3, is a unique identifier that facilitates the tracking and regulation of this chemical in scientific literature and databases. Overall, Z-Thr-OH serves as an important building block in organic chemistry and biochemistry, particularly in the development of pharmaceuticals and research into protein structure and function.

CAS:
Z-L-Thr-OH is a synthetic peptide that contains the amino acid sequence of l-threonine. It is an amide with a carbamic acid and chloride functional group. The monomers are linked by ring-opening reactions, which are sequences of reactions in which the bond between two adjacent carbon atoms is broken and then immediately formed again with the addition of another molecule. Z-L-Thr-OH has been shown to hydrolyze leukocytes and inhibit bacterial growth in vitro. In vivo studies have also shown that Z-L-Thr-OH inhibits neutrophil recruitment, degranulation, and oxidative burst in response to chemoattractants or bacteria. This peptide has also been shown to be effective against methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and other clinically significant pathogens.
Formula:C12H15NO5Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:253.25 g/molZ-Thr-OH
