Flumethasone 21-pivalate (FP) is a synthetic glucocorticoid that binds to the glucocorticoid receptor and suppresses the immune system. FP has been used clinically for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease and other conditions, such as allergic reactions, asthma, cancer, and skin disorders.
