Dilazep dihydrochloride

Description:
Dilazep dihydrochloride is a pharmaceutical compound primarily used as a vasodilator and in the treatment of certain cardiovascular conditions. It belongs to the class of benzodiazepines and exhibits properties that can help improve blood flow by relaxing blood vessels. The substance is characterized by its dihydrochloride salt form, which enhances its solubility in water, making it suitable for various formulations, including oral and injectable forms. Dilazep dihydrochloride acts by inhibiting the reuptake of certain neurotransmitters, thereby influencing vascular smooth muscle tone. Its chemical structure includes a benzodiazepine core, contributing to its pharmacological effects. The compound is typically administered under medical supervision due to potential side effects, which may include dizziness, headache, or gastrointestinal disturbances. As with many medications, it is essential to consider contraindications and interactions with other drugs. Overall, Dilazep dihydrochloride plays a significant role in managing specific health conditions related to blood circulation and cardiovascular health.

  • Dilazep dihydrochloride

    CAS:

Dilazep dihydrochloride is a p2y receptor antagonist that prevents the activation of these receptors by extracellular nucleotides. It is used to treat angina and other cardiovascular diseases, as well as for the prevention of myocardial infarctions. Dilazep dihydrochloride has been shown to inhibit adenosine transport and uridine uptake in hl-60 cells. This agent also inhibits binding of dipyridamole and adenosine to their respective receptors, which may be due to its ability to block calcium influx through the p2y receptor and subsequent activation of adenylate cyclase. The increased intracellular concentration of ATP has been shown to have a number of physiological effects, including inhibition of platelet aggregation, stimulation of glucose transport, and enhancement of energy metabolism.
