:Glutathione (reduced), sodium salt
Description:
Glutathione (reduced), sodium salt, is a tripeptide composed of three amino acids: glutamine, cysteine, and glycine. It plays a crucial role in cellular processes, primarily as an antioxidant, protecting cells from oxidative stress by neutralizing free radicals and reactive oxygen species. The sodium salt form enhances its solubility in water, making it more bioavailable for various applications, including pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements. This compound is typically found in its reduced form, which is essential for its biological activity, as it can readily participate in redox reactions. Glutathione is also involved in detoxification processes, aiding in the conjugation and elimination of harmful substances from the body. Its characteristics include a relatively low molecular weight, high stability under physiological conditions, and the ability to participate in enzyme reactions. Due to its importance in maintaining cellular health, glutathione is often studied in the context of aging, immune function, and various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer.

CAS:<p>Glutathione sodium, a water-soluble form of PAO, blocks blood vessel formation and cancer growth.</p>Formula:C10H16N3NaO6SColor and Shape:SolidMolecular weight:329.3Reduced glutathione sodium
CAS:<p>Glutathione is a tripeptide cysteine-glycine-glutamic acid which exists in cells in the reduced form (this product) or oxidised form. Reduced glutathione (GSH) is an antioxidant protecting cell components from endogenous and exogeneous reactive oxygen and nitrogen species. Reduced glutathione has also been intensely used in the affinity purification of proteins with glutathione S-transferase (GST) tag. In the protein purification process, glutathione is used for the elution of GST-fused recombinant proteins from a glutathione-immobilised resins. In the elution buffers, reduced glutathione is typically used in the 10 â 40 mM concentration range.</p>Formula:C10H16N3NaO6SPurity:Min. 95 Area-%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:329.31 g/molL-Glutathione sodium, reduced
