• 2,2-Dimethylpropane-1-sulfonamide

    CAS:

2,2-Dimethylpropane-1-sulfonamide is a macrocyclic compound that has antiviral activity. It reacts with hydrogen peroxide to form a serine protease inhibitor. The reaction system consists of 2,2-dimethylpropane-1-sulfonamide, serine protease and polyelectrolyte. This reaction system is efficient in the synthesis of tripeptides and nitrogen atoms containing chromene. The biological properties of this compound have been shown to inhibit the hepatitis virus in cell culture and can be used as an antiseptic agent for wounds. 2,2-Dimethylpropane-1-sulfonamide inhibits the activity of NS3 protease from some strains of Hepatitis C virus (HCV) by binding to the active site and blocking the access to substrate. The NS3 protease is a serine protease that cleaves HCV polyprotein into individual proteins, such as NS4A
