This drug also has antiviral activity against herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1), herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV2) and human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV1). 8-Bromo-2'-deoxyadenosine cep is a synthetic nucleoside that is phosphoramidite that can be used to synthesize DNA or RNA.
