Diethyl propylmalonate

Diethyl propylmalonate is a lipid-soluble molecule that has been shown to have anti-cancer activity. It is synthesized by the reaction of two molecules of malonic acid and one molecule of ethyl bromoacetate in the presence of copper catalyst and diethyl ether as solvent.
