CAS:Controlled ProductN-Phenylpiperazine Hydrochloride is a dopamine receptor antagonist that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of carcinoid syndrome. It is also used as an analytical reagent in the determination of dopamine and its metabolites in human serum and wastewater samples. N-Phenylpiperazine Hydrochloride binds to the dopamine receptors on the surface of cells, blocking the binding of dopamine and preventing activation of these receptors by this neurotransmitter. The drug has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in animal models and may be effective against infectious diseases such as influenza, herpes simplex virus type 1, or HIV-1.
