N-Desmethyl clobazam is a benzodiazepine that is metabolized by CYP3A4 and has the potential for drug interactions. When administered with CYP3A4 inducers, such as rifampin, carbamazepine, and phenytoin, plasma concentrations of clobazam can increase to potentially dangerous levels.
