Description:

5-Aza-2′-deoxycytidine, also known as decitabine, is a nucleoside analog of cytidine that is primarily used in the treatment of certain types of cancer, particularly myelodysplastic syndromes and acute myeloid leukemia. Its chemical structure features a pyrimidine base, specifically a modified cytosine, where the nitrogen atom at the 5-position is replaced by a carbon atom, resulting in the incorporation of a methyl group.
