LH1307 is a peptide that is an activator of the purinergic receptor P2Y. Purinergic receptors are G protein-coupled receptors that bind to adenosine and ATP, which are nucleotide-based molecules. LH1307 inhibits the binding of adenosine and ATP to their respective receptors, thereby inhibiting the activation of downstream signaling pathways. This inhibition leads to decreased inflammatory responses in cells, as well as increased cell survival rates during periods of stress. LH1307 also binds to a number of other proteins and may be used in research to inhibit these interactions.
