Tabimorelin hemifumarate

Tabimorelin hemifumarate is a chemotherapeutic agent with potential to treat bowel disease. Tabimorelin binds to the receptor site and inhibits the inflammatory response in the gastrointestinal tract, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. Tabimorelin has been shown to be effective in treating bowel disease and diabetic neuropathy, as well as reducing symptoms of these diseases. It interacts with a variety of receptors, including those for acetylcholine, dopamine, serotonin, and histamine. The binding of tabimorelin at these sites may account for its effects on motor function and mood stabilization. Tabimorelin is also used in diagnostic applications such as measuring liver function or determining whether an individual has a specific type of cancer. Tabimorelin is administered orally and can be measured in blood plasma by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS).
