2-(5-Chloro-2-methylphenoxy)acetic acid is a chemical compound used in the synthesis of herbicides, such as glyphosate. It is an inhibitor of plant growth. 2-(5-Chloro-2-methylphenoxy)acetic acid has been shown to induce apoptosis and inhibit cell growth in breast cancer cells.
