Applications (S)-2-((S)-2-((tert-butoxycarbonyl)amino)-3-methylbutanamido)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propanoic Acid Methyl Ester is an intermediate in the synthesis of Aureusimine A (A794560), a metabolite of non-ribosomal origin produced by Staphylococcus aureusan, formed by the fusion of two amino acids. Aureusimine A was shown to exert control over the virulence cascade responsible for Golden Staph infection.
