Description:
Lasalocid A is a polyether ionophore antibiotic primarily used as a feed additive in livestock to promote growth and prevent coccidiosis, a parasitic disease affecting poultry and other animals. It is derived from the fermentation of the bacterium *Streptomyces lasaliensis*.
