Tavilermide is a conjunctival diagnostic agent that is used to identify inflammatory diseases. It is also an anti-inflammatory agent. Tavilermide has been shown to have a safety profile and to be effective in relieving symptoms of certain inflammatory diseases, such as ocular and nasal allergies, asthma, eczema, and dermatitis. Tavilermide is a conjugate of tyrosine kinase inhibitor peptides with glycoconjugates. The presence of the glycoconjugates increases the half-life and bioavailability of the active substances in the eye. This allows for less frequent dosing than other diagnostic agents.
