It induces mitochondrial-mediated intrinsic apoptosis in tumor cells by enhancing the Bax/Bcl-2 protein expression ratio, promoting the release of cytochrome C from mitochondria, and activating caspase 9 and caspase 3. EMT inhibitor-3 is applicable for cancer research.</p>
