CAS:It is employed in the preparation of 4-methoxytetrahydropyran-4-yl protecting group, synthesis of symmetric tetra substituted methanes. The methyl enol ether is a useful protecting agent for alcohols, e.g. in nucleotide synthesis, with the advantage over 3,4-Dihydro-2H-pyran. It is also employed in

CAS:Tetrahydro-4H-pyran-4-one is a hydrochloric acid salt of tetrahydropyran-4-one. It is a colorless oil with a boiling point of 8°C and a melting point of -78°C. Tetrahydro-4H-pyran-4-one can be used to synthesize quinoline derivatives, which are important in the synthesis of many pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. Tetrahydro-4H-pyran-4-one can also be used to synthesize other compounds, such as carbonyl groups or hydrogen bonds. The reaction solution will be stable due to the formation of stable complexes with hydrogen bonds. NMR spectra show that tetrahydro pyran 4 one has an asymmetric synthesis and isolated yield.
