CAS:2-(2-Hydroxybenzylidene)hydrazinecarboxamide is a molecule that has been shown to inhibit the growth of leukemia cells. It interacts with the hydroxyl group of the 2-position of hydrazinecarboxamide, forming an intermediate which reacts with oxygen in the presence of a catalytic amount of ferrous ions to form a peroxide.
