CAS:<p>1-Isobutyl-1H-benzimidazole is a potent and selective inhibitor of cell proliferation. It inhibits the growth of cancer cells by targeting the catalytic activity of topoisomerase II. The in vitro cytotoxic activity of 1-isobutyl-1H-benzimidazole has been investigated on human cancer cells and endometrial cancer cells. The IC50 values for cisplatin, a chemotherapeutic agent, and 1-isobutyl-1H-benzimidazole were found to be identical at 10 μM.
