Triflusal also reduces the production of prothrombin and other coagulation factors, which leads to a reduction in blood clotting. Triflusal has been shown to have beneficial effects on metabolic disorders such as obesity, diabetes, and hypertension by blocking the synthesis of prostaglandins. It has also been shown to inhibit platelet aggregation and reduce thromboxane production in humans.
